What customers say?

“ ① Restaurant Features A tempura specialty restaurant in Kokubuncho. Run by a couple, with the wife providing excellent service. The interior has a counter with 7 seats and one table seat for 4 people. ② Food Review ◎ Premium Tempura Set Meal (Lunch) Lunch offers tempura at a reasonable price. Satisfied with the generous set meal. The tempura in the set meal was served in this order: pumpkin, shrimp, eggplant, shrimp (second piece), sand lance, lotus root, maitake mushroom, lotus root (second piece), mukago (yam seeds), conger eel, and goby. Among the vegetables, the eggplant, lotus root, and maitake were especially excellent. Among the seafood, the sand lance and goby were outstanding. Rice is free refills, and at the end, I ate a bowl of shrimp and scallop kakiage tempura. A great way to enjoy tempura. ”

“ Small place but great food. Fresh tempura. Lovely host lady - helped us in choosing the lunch set. Chef prepared special complementary sweet potato for our 2 year old and he loved it too :) ”

“ We found this place as highly recomended on google. I think the chef was testing us as he informed us that it was chefs choice and with the first course we were served snails! We ate them (challenge accepted) and then proceeded to the tempura which was beautiful. We got the feeling it was a more upmarket place to eat and the host (a lady) was so friendly and helped us so we knew how to use the various dips and sauces. She was so happy to have us there. A couple of rounds of different tempura that was beautiful and a few rounds of rice wine and two bottles of beer later the bill was about 16,000 yen for three people and we felt full but not over stuffed. Just right. It was an authentic Japanese place to eat and we enjoyed the evening. Highly recomend. ”

“ The price listed was 1000-2000 yen, but when we got there it was 20,000 yen for two people. When we went in there was no menu so I thought it would be expensive, but the price was surprising. The food was definitely worth 20,000 yen. ”

“ They open at 11:30, but on weekdays, one group arrived five minutes before opening, and shortly after we joined, another group joined in. At 11:30, the lights at the entrance to the restaurant came on in a flash, and the proprietress put up a noren curtain and asked those with reservations to please go first. Reserved seating appears to be at the counter, but without a reservation, there are four tables facing each other on the raised floor. This time, I ordered today's tempura set meal. The couple sitting across from me ordered a tempura bowl and beer. The proprietress's service was polite and friendly, and the tempura was, of course, delicious, but the rice was so tasty that I ended up having a second helping for the first time in my life. I asked for a second helping of rice, but her husband didn't, so the owner called out to me from the counter at a distance, "Would you like more rice?" I thought that was amazing thoughtfulness. I thought it would be better to make a reservation, but maybe it would be possible if we went before opening on a weekday? If you're interested, please give it a go! ”

“ Mid-December 2024 Revisited after two years. I finally managed to reserve a table. I left the tempura to the chef. Everything was delicious. The small plates served as palate cleansers in between the tempura were also delicious. The tuna skin was impressive. It's fun that customers can order additional tempura before the main course, depending on their hunger and preferences. Delicious tempura is easy to enjoy. The tempura tea at the end was delicious. ”

“ Satisfying Tempura [Visited] Tuesday, 5:00 PM [Waiting Time] 0 minutes (Reservation) [Order and Price] Course (see photo) ¥6,500 [Worth the wait] (Perfect Score) [Review] ・The photos below include additional dishes, so some dishes are not part of the course. ・All of the tempura was top-notch, with some being better than others depending on the ingredients. Personally, the conger eel and shiitake mushrooms were outstanding. ・For the final course, you can choose between tempura tea or tempura bowl. You can also order more tempura if you run out before the final course. ・The drink menu could be more extensive. ・The value for money, the chef's friendliness, and the food are great—I'll definitely be back! ”

“ I went there for lunch on a weekday. I had a kakiage bowl, and my companion had a tempura set meal. Watching the owner carefully work at the counter was so impressive that I felt like I had to pay just for that. It was amazing. The taste of the food was even more amazing, I was blown away. ”
